The Indya Emon Collection is dedicated to a beautiful, caring, intelligent and humorous young woman; a high school student at Legacy High School in Las Vegas, Nevada: Indya Emon Willis. She had a great eye for fashion and was as intelligent as she was caring. Her future ambitions included going to the prom, getting her driver’s license, graduating high school and pursuing a college education to fulfill her goals of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Sadly, at the tender age of 17, as a result of domestic violence, Indya’s life was cut short when she was shot and killed by her boyfriend on November 21, 2018.

The harsh reality is that although the numbers have declined over the years, within our society, there are still an unfathomable number of domestic violence accounts that go unreported among young adult and teen victims. Many of our young women (and men) are
unaware of the signs and dangers of abuse and we, as a society, must become more comfortable about confronting these issues.
Designs by G’dora has partnered with the Indya Emon Foundation to help to continuously bring awareness to this growing issues that is plaguing our community, by shedding light on acts of violence and other forms of abuse (physical, emotional, financial, verbal or sexual).
